🛑 Mental Health & Trauma Care Disclaimer

At Modality Life Practice, we care deeply about creating a respectful and welcoming space. While we are mindful of the emotional realities our clients may bring into the room, we want to clearly state:

We are not mental health providers, and we do not treat mental illness or trauma clinically.

Our team is trained in Pilates, wellness, and body-based practices—not psychotherapy or trauma recovery. Although we strive to be trauma-informed in spirit, our staff is not professionally trained or certified to recognize or manage psychological triggers.

We understand that things said or done—however small—can sometimes affect individuals in unexpected ways. If something said during class or conversation feels emotionally difficult, please know:

  • It was not intentional.

  • We will hold space respectfully if you choose to share.

  • We will not censor or overcorrect our staff in ways that cause them undue stress or confusion.

Our goal is to offer a safe, uplifting, and professional environment—not a therapeutic one.

✨ We Do Offer:

  • Respectful, professional instruction

  • Space for reflection and growth

  • Supportive listening when appropriate

  • Referrals to mental health professionals when needed

đźš« We Do Not Offer:

  • Diagnosis or treatment of mental illness

  • Trauma processing or counseling

  • Guaranteed “trigger-free” environments

  • Conflict arbitration or emotional mediation between clients and staff

Please Be Mindful

Everyone’s lived experience matters here—but we cannot know everyone’s sensitivities in advance. If a misunderstanding occurs, we invite direct communication rather than assumptions or accusations. Bullying, harassment, or weaponizing trauma language against our staff will not be tolerated.

Thank you for helping us maintain a space of mutual respect, clear boundaries, and wellness without harm.

With care,

Modality Life Practice Leadership
