Motivational Language, Body-Positive Culture & Hands-On Assisting Disclaimer
At Modality Life Practice, our instructors use motivational and affirming language designed to uplift, energize, and empower clients. This may include positive references to body parts during movement (e.g., “your glutes are strong,” “your abs are engaged,” “your legs look amazing,” or “those calves are on fire”) as part of technique-based encouragement and body awareness.
This language is:
Never sexual in nature
Always used in a supportive, professional, and fitness-specific context
Part of our commitment to creating a body-positive environment where all people feel confident, capable, and seen
We take sexual harassment seriously and do not tolerate inappropriate behavior of any kind. However, we also recognize that body-based compliments can be misinterpreted. If receiving compliments or hearing language related to appearance or body parts may be triggering or uncomfortable for you, please proceed with awareness and notify a staff member if needed.
Hands-On Assisting:
Our trained professionals may offer hands-on adjustments during sessions to help improve alignment, technique, and safety. All touching is done respectfully and in accordance with professional standards for appropriate contact.
If you do not want to be touched or adjusted, please:
Provide written notice in advance (e.g., email or message)
Inform your instructor upon arrival before class begins
We respect your personal boundaries and will always honor your preferences.
To protect our team and community:
We do not tolerate false accusations or claims made to harm our instructors
All interactions and language are grounded in motivation, education, and physical safety, never objectification
By booking or participating in any Modality Life Practice service, you acknowledge and accept our communication style, hands-on assisting policies, and agree to our Terms & Conditions and Community Guidelines.
