When Doubt Came From a Friend — And How God Kept Me Going
When Doubt Came From a Friend — And How God Kept Me Going
I still remember the day I signed the lease for Modality Life Practice. I was filled with excitement and hope for a studio where people could heal, strengthen, and transform — body, mind, and spirit. I shared my vision with someone I considered a friend, someone I trusted. We spent hours together on friend dates, talking, sharing life, and laughing.
But when I told them about Modality and the vision God placed on my heart, their response stunned me. They said they didn’t support a business where I “get rich off people’s problems.” What they didn’t see was that this isn’t about money. I spend personal finances to provide everything for my business both seen and unseen. I spend countless hours away from my own family, often putting my loved ones on the back burner, so I can show up and serve others. I help clients heal their bodies, improve their health, and reduce healthcare expenses by guiding them to live healthier lives — losing weight, gaining strength, and building confidence.
When clients attend events and everyone notices their glow and confidence, it isn’t something they did on their own — they had Modality. We help improve intimate relationships, too, for couples who previously struggled with challenges in their sex lives. And unlike commercial gyms or chains, where instructors barely know you and give minimal guidance, I bring years of experience, expertise, and genuine care. My clients benefit from my extensive background in Pilates, Stretch Therapy, Mindful Meditation, Faith-Inspired Life Coaching, and mental health support — all rooted in the method I developed through years of practice, observation, and training.
At Modality, we focus on mental health as much as physical health. Our approach is personal: we talk with clients, build relationships, and create customized experiences that truly transform lives. No shortcuts. No cold exchanges. Just results that touch every part of a person — body, mind, and spirit.
If I had let that one friend’s doubt define my path, Modality would not exist today. But I chose to trust God, follow His vision, and focus on the lives I am meant to change. Now, I witness clients thriving at home, at work, in relationships, and in their personal confidence — because they show up, commit, and we guide them with care and expertise.
This journey has taught me that one negative comment cannot stop a God-given vision. When your heart is aligned with purpose, when your work improves lives and heals hearts, everything works out — for you, for your clients, and for everyone around you.
