Wellness Shouldn’t Be a Luxury: Why Modality Serves All Communities
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18
At Modality, we believe that health, healing, and high-quality wellness experiences should not be reserved for people in wealthy zip codes. Everyone—regardless of background—deserves a space where they can stretch, breathe, and begin again.
That’s why we chose to position Modality right off Loop 410 and Perrin Beitel, in a neighborhood that reflects the full range of San Antonio’s beauty—diverse, hard-working, and real. We’re not tucked away in a gated community. We’re accessible. Intentionally.
Our services rival the best in the industry—personalized care, spa touches, mental health-informed movement, and a calming environment that many are surprised to find in this part of town. But that’s the point. True healing spaces don’t only belong to people in wealthier neighborhoods. Wellness shouldn’t be a luxury. It should be a resource—for everyone.
We proudly support our neighbors, local families, and small businesses. We’ve built a close relationship with the San Antonio Police Department to ensure our space remains safe, peaceful, and protected—not because of our community, but ironically, because of a few individuals who’ve tried to manipulate or take advantage of our goodwill.
It hasn’t been the people walking these streets that have brought harm—it’s been those who enter with bad intentions, trying to set us up for liability or seeking to abuse a system that was built to serve with heart.
But we’re not backing down. We’re standing firm in our mission. Modality will continue to show up—for the single mom, the retiree, the first-time visitor, the quiet soul seeking peace, and everyone in between.
This space is sacred. It is protected. And it is for you.
Come as you are. Just come with respect.
